Secret of Happiness

There was a story I read in THE ALCHEMIST about how to find secret of happiness and I find it worth sharing:

"A certain shopkeeper sent his son to learn about the secret of happiness from the wisest man in the world. His son wanders in the desert for forty days and finally reaches the beautiful castle on the of the mountain in which wisest man lived.

When the boy enters the main room room in the castle, instead of the wisest man he saw many people coming and going, an orchestra was playing soft music in the corner and a table covered with the delicious food. The wise man conversed with everyone, and the boy had to wait for 2 hours to meet him.

The wise man listened attentively to the boy's explanation of why he had come, but told him that he didn't have time just to explain and suggested him to look around the palace and return in two hours. Meanwhile i want you to do one thing handing the boy a tea spoon with two drops of oil in it and said 'As you wander around, carry this spoon with you without allowing the oil to spill.'

The boy began climbing and descending the many stairways of the palace, keeping the eye fixed on the spoon. After two hours, he returned to the room where the wise man was.

the wise asked the boy that did he saw this n that(beautiful things in the castle), on this the boy was embarrassed, and confessed that he had observed nothing. His only concern had been not to spill the oil that the wise man had entrusted to him.

Then the wise told him to go back and again observe the marvels of my world. he said 'You cannot trust a man if you don't know his house.'

The boy took the spoon and returned to his exploration of the palace, this time observing all the works. He saw everything this time and told about everything he saw in detail this time. Then the wise man asked 'But where are the drops of oil I entrusted you?'

Looking down at the spoon he held, the boy saw that oil was gone. On that the wisest man said " 'Well, there is only one piece of advice I can give you. The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world, and never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon.' "

Rocky

I like to watch movies, actually I love to watch movies. And I like to watch series (like lotr 1, 2&3) and romantic comedies, I have just finished watching Rocky (not all in one go but in last 5-6 days) n I have become a fan of Sylvester Stallone. This guy rocks!!!

He made the rocky character so calm n composed out of the ring n a rock hard guy in the ring, who you can not knock down no matter how strong is your punch because he will take it n stand back. And even after that he will punch you real hard. He is simple and strong. The songs are also great. He gave the series very good ending with rocky balboa.

May be you will say that its just a movie but he worked very hard for the movie, he build his body according to what was needed for the character even at the age of 61. These lines from the movie are really good “If I can change then you can change, everybody can change” and this one when his son was blaming him for his (son’s) failure “The world is not all sunshine n rainbows. It’s a very mean n nasty place. I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you permanently there if you let it. You Me are no body. Its gonna hit as hard as life. Its not about how hard you get hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take n keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now If you know what you worth then go out and get what you worth. But you gotta be worth to take the hits and not pointing your fingers and say you are not what you wanna be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that are not you.”

The best one

happy ANIMALS day :)

Do you know that 4th October is celebrated as animals day and also as my birthday :P.

Well every year, like everyone, I wait for friends to come, give me bumps and wish me( after the bumps) . But this year I invited them to ccd( its in our campus) so that I ll postpone the bumps as much as I can and get less bumps from less no. of friends(as most of them have to go because of shaastra or other work), but how could something happen if I have planned that. They all gave me bumps right on time, But my butt is not paining that much as I took the most strongest kicks, obviously from tattu, on my hand(by putting it in between, still paining now). They rubbed the cake on my face, sounds ugly but I liked it because they are my best friends and all of us go through the same procedure :P .

anyways the best part was that every friend was there whom I wanted to be(except arjun who was in hyd and chola, he was really busy and by busy I mean it and one more friend, anyways she was 2200 km away) and except 2-3, every one of them is my BEST friend. People have difficulty finding even 1 but I have 20 best friends and Im not joking and also its not a typing mistake. If someone hugs you and wishes you happy birthday, its the best gift you can get and I got some 30 of them :) . Anand gave me a gift, He wrote with calligraphy pen(few people can write with that)

If a friend makes you feel that you are good as what you are and even then try to make you better, it shows he/she is really a good friend. From now on when 4th october come I ll remember that I have friends like no one has.

Anyways I have the full day to do something and the first thing Im going to do is workout in gym(It's 6 in the morning)
